Dr Dora Fazekas appointed Managing Director Hungary
Following the registration of its Hungarian subsidiary company last week, Cambridge Econometrics is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Dora Fazekas as Managing Director of the new Central and Eastern European base.
Of her appointment Dr Fazekas said:
I am delighted to have been appointed Managing Director of Cambridge Econometrics Hungary and to have the opportunity to lead such an exciting new development.
We will bring a local presence to policy makers who are faced with many complex challenges, not least how to design policies to meet their targets under the Paris climate change agreement.
We have the expertise to support them; not only on the plausibility of different technology pathways, but on the economic and societal implications of different futures.
Dr Fazekas has over ten years’ research and consultancy experience and joined Cambridge Econometrics two years ago specialising in the application of economic analysis to inform policy-makers in the fields of climate, energy and the circular economy. She is particularly interested in the analysis of possible policy pathways to limit climate change.
Dora has a PhD in environmental economics and has international research experience at the Central European University and Corvinus University in Budapest, the University of Sheffield in the UK and Columbia University in New York City, US. She speaks Hungarian, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
