Low carbon cars in Germany

We carried out a research project to assess the economic impact of decarbonising passenger cars in Germany. The project, which was commissioned by the European Climate Foundation, was undertaken in collaboration with Element Energy and M-FIVE, informed by a core working group of experts in the motor vehicles industry as well as other interested stakeholders.

The report “Low-carbon cars in Germany” considers the socio-economic impact of a series of forward-looking scenarios that encompass alternative visions of Germany’s future vehicle fleet.

It also includes a detailed assessment of synergies between the electricity system and electric vehicles, undertaken by Element Energy and an analysis of the value chain for batteries by M-FIVE.
