Jon Stenning
Jon is Deputy CEO and a Director at Cambridge Econometrics. He specialises in distilling complex economic and econometric analysis into policy-relevant messages. Over the past 19 years, Jon has managed and delivered projects for a wide range of clients and has extensive experience presenting technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences.
As Deputy CEO, Jon drives forward the company’s independent values and mission to deepen the understanding of economics among policymakers and the wider policymaking community. He also works to forge new partnerships with like-minded organisations. He leads the company’s global consultancy teams, oversees the day-to-day operations of the UK company, and collaborates with the CEO and directors on delivering the long-term vision for the group.
Before stepping into his current role, Jon led the Environment team at Cambridge Econometrics for six years, managing a team of 25 to deliver globally impactful work on the economics of climate change mitigation and adaptation. His leadership focused on the role of technology in driving rapid change in economic systems and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Jon also holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath.
