Dr Dóra Fazekas specialises in the application of economic analysis for climate-informed policymaking. As Managing Director (Hungary) she leads Cambridge Econometrics’ sustainable investment work and has a long track record of contributing to official European policy impact assessments, environmental and socio-economic evaluations, and consultancy projects for international organisations and private sector clients.

With a PhD in environmental economics and 20 years of experience, Dóra has successfully managed international climate and energy research projects, bridging academic research, policymaking, and technology R&D. She works closely with stakeholders to ensure project results align with client needs and presents technical findings to non-technical audiences in clear, accessible formats.

 She is also a reviewer for academic journals and an expert panellist at various policy events.

In her role, she quantifies climate-related financial risks and models the financial sector implications of decarbonisation pathways. Using the global E3ME macro-econometric model, she helps asset managers, pension funds, and national banks integrate climate-related risks into investment decision-making.

She speaks five languages and writes across formats, from scientific reports to blog posts, ensuring clarity and impact in climate economics and sustainable finance
