Richard Lewney
Richard is Chair of Cambridge Econometrics, bringing over 30 years of experience in applying economic modelling to policy analysis, evaluation, and forecasting for both government and private sector clients. He has led a large number of high-profile projects for clients in the European Commission, national governments, NGOs and the private sector.
His fields of experience include the economics of climate change policies, green jobs opportunities, the analysis of long-term demand and supply of skills in the workforce, local and regional economic development, structural change in the economy and the relationship between the macroeconomic environment and specific sectors.
He is a Trustee of the Cambridge Trust for Cambridge Trust for New Thinking in Economics, which supports the development of innovative approaches in economics that are better able to address the major policy challenges of our day.
He graduated with a double first in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Master's degree from the University of Massachusetts where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar.
